The esteemed Princess Dragomiroff of Russia is the oldest and most respected passenger aboard the Orient Express. When Princess Dragomiroff requests Russian tea, Russian tea she gets. While there is no passage in the book of this occurring, Wendy Hiller delivers a request for Russian tea with a convincing air of royalty in the 1974 film version of Murder On The Orient Express.

After testing a few recipes and finding the perfect one, there is no doubt this Russian Tea is fit for a princess.

Ingredients

4 black tea bags

6 whole cloves

1 cinnamon stick

1 teaspoon ground allspice

½ cup sugar

1 (12 oz.) can pineapple juice

1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate

1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate

1 whole orange, sliced horizontally for garnish

Directions

Boil 1 cup water and add tea bags. Let steep until it reaches your desired taste – about 5 minutes usually does the trick.

In a large pot, combine 6 cups water, 6 whole cloves, and your cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil. Stir in your tea, 1 teaspoon ground allspice, ½ cup sugar, 1 (12 oz.) can pineapple juice, 1 (6 oz.) can orange juice, and 1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate. Slice and add whole orange.

You may serve immediately or reduce heat to a low simmer until ready to serve.

Enjoy!
